Tami's Christmas Poem 2009

I can't believe it's been five years already,
My Christmas poem going nice and steady.
Black Friday was a shopping delight,
I even decided to stay out all night.
In a day and age where the kids rule,
My daughter gets in trouble for texting me, at school.
She sends me good tidings that brighten my day,
I don't think I'd want it any other way.
The children are excited as they should be,
We've already decorated and put up the tree.
A stocking for our hamster 'Flame',
The kids still love our Christmas train.
The boys are goofy, their laugh contagious,
The things they do are so outrageous.
Right now, the winter weather is storming,
Good thing we found out there’s no global warming.
The freezing rain makes everything look new,
I have gallons of hand sanitizer to fight off swine flu.
The economy's bad and Tiger is doomed,
Just make sure your kid isn't on your weather balloon.
Please take the time to lend a hand,
And thank our troops out in the sand.
Give praise to the Lord for things in your life,
I am truly blessed as a mother and a wife.
Take pride in the things that you've already done,
If you make it through Christmas, you've already won.
Merry Christmas!
