Christmas Poem 2010

The year's almost over and what do you know?
We had an entire 1/2 inch of snow.
Jacked up on coffee one fine day,
Thought it would be awesome to join PTA.
Ever do something you later regret?
Oh, that's right, we've already met.
Taryn in high school's like getting a whipping,
15 years later, teachers still think I'm skipping.
Tanner plays drums like one of the boys,
Nobody told him I didn't like noise.
Trent has now taken over the lights on the tree,
And will never be too old to decorate with me.
Hot Chocolate, Santa, a Christmas party,
Have been replaced, with Basketball, Scouts, Drums, and Karate.
Tanner's joined TAG, Taryn I.B.,
Holding my breath for little Trenty.
Been a hell of a year and I'm glad that we're done,
Freezing at the racetrack would have been much more fun.
Enjoy the season, be good to your neighbor,
Make sure Grandma doesn't get run over by reindeer.
Merry Christmas to you and may God bless you all,
And do your best not to get lost in the mall.
