Christmas Poem 2013

Tami’s Christmas Poem 2013
I started Christmas 6 weeks early this year,
Hallmark movies left me streaked with tears.
December 10th and not one Christmas card
But we finally got the lights up in the yard.
I wondered if someone would strap the tree on my car
But figured I’d forget it and drive in the garage too far.
Taryn is a senior, boy how things change,
Happy she’s not tribute in The Hunger Games.
Tanner’s so tall and has a full stache,
Trent’s catching me with a fiery wrath.
The kids are too busy for me to keep straight,
I forget all about them sometimes when they’re late.
So much to do it seems so unfair,
Good thing I’m not applying for Obamacare.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas tonight,
May God bless you all for He is the light.

Christmas Poem 2012

Christmas came too early this year,
I was still in the middle of Thanksgiving cheer.
My dog forgot she wasn’t the master,
She broke down the door and even bit my Pastor.
Taryn broke her thumb and I hurt my back,
The boys are attempting to pick up the slack.
They just want cash, not candy or snacks,
I can’t ‘coupon’ my way out of that.
The tree is droopy, the ornaments falling,
‘Duck Dynasty’ has become so enthralling.
I don’t have any good gifts to send,
That’s okay if the world comes to an end.
Hug your loved ones tightly and may you be blessed
And trust in the Lord to handle the rest.

Merry Christmas!
